The One Video That Shines a Light on and Truly Defines Charitable Bail Funds

If you ever questioned the validity and effectiveness of charitable bail funds, there is one video you must watch. It is an interview with the Executive Director of the Minnesota Freedom Fund, one of the most controversial bail funds ever created. In this interview, the ED admits that his team doesn't care about the charges or even look at them. They are there to bail out any and everyone they can, because keeping people in cages is wrong. I am not sure that there are many victims or families of victims that would agree with that comment. Additionally, the ED goes on to admit the real purpose of bail funds is really about giving a big "f-you" to the police and a bigger "f-you" to the courts.

Is that the kind of person or attitude you want pushing criminal justice policy around the country? Is that the kind of organization that should be allowed to bail out anyone they want with no guardrails or regulation? Is that the kind of philosophy you want paying the bail of dangerous criminals? Me neither.
