California Politicians Love Criminals So Much, They Are About to Release a "Monster" into Your Community So You Can Love Him Too
A man that was convicted of 16 counts of kidnapping and sexually abusing children is about to be released by California's criminal loving leadership. David Funston was convicted in 1999 and given three life sentences plus 20 years for his horrific crimes. He was never supposed to taste freedom ever again. But Mr. Funston is now about to be just as free as the rest of us. A man that has been described by the judge as "the monster parents fear the most," is about to be released to go about living his life regardless of the pain, suffering and irreversible damage he has done to so many others.
Ann Marie Schubert, President of the Criminal Justice Legal Foundation and former District Attorney of Sacramento, filed a request urging the Parole Board to reconsider Funston's release. The request stated,
“This case involves extremely serious criminal conduct with lasting impact on victims and the community. Before any release proceeds, it is essential that all public safety considerations, victim impact factors, and risk assessments be fully and carefully evaluated.”
As of this morning, Thursday February 26, Funston has not yet been released. We are just going to have to wait and see if the people who have sworn an oath to protect us and our families will actually do so. Or if they will release the monster back onto our streets to once again live amongst us and our children.
This case is just another example of California legislators and leadership caring more about the criminals then the victims of their crimes and the community around them. From promoting cashless bail policies, to pushing bail reform and other nonsensical soft on crime policies on our communities to now considering the release of a dangerous convicted criminal who according to one of his victims, "doesn't deserve to breathe the same air as us" California continues to promote and coddle its criminals at the expense of its law abiding and taxpaying families and communities. It is simply despicable. READ THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE LEGAL FOUNDATION PRESS RELEASE HERE>>>>
